The rumours were going around about the Yamaha 250cc motorcycle for two years but now the as per confidant source, Yamaha is preparing for the announcement very soon. The new 250cc bike would be named the “Yamaha 1WD” and the bike is waiting for the design cues from the bigger Yamaha R6 and the current Yamaha R15. Currently, it is not clear that the bike will consist of single cylinder or twin but as per the competitive pricing it is expected to be listed in single cylinder category bikes. To get better and detailed specs, we have to wait for the upcoming EICMa at Milan.
There are various models hitting the market this festive season and to give a tight competition to its competitors, Yamaha need to fix its foot in the market with a demandable product. The model we speculate would be called the Yamaha YZF- R250. There was also mention of 250cc single cylinder Fazer in other countries but there is no fresh news on this product. Targeting other company news, the Yamaha R1 and R6 would be revamped for 2013.
